Pensacola Sports Ray Palmer Elected Board Treasurer of Sports ETA
Sports Events and Tourism Association (Sports ETA) announced new board leadership as elected at the Annual General Membership Meeting this week. Ray Palmer, STS, of Pensacola Sports was elected Board Treasurer.
“It’s an honor to be selected by my peers to represent them on our industry’s national trade association’s executive committee,” said Palmer.
Palmer, a certified Sports Tourism Strategist (STS), has served as the President/CEO of Pensacola Sports for the past 19 years and is a tireless promoter of the Pensacola area. Focusing on sports tourism, event development and management, Palmer has led Pensacola Sports by hosting, supporting, creating, and growing local events as well as sports tourism events.
Additional members were elected to the Board of Sports ETA and they include:
- Chair Michael Price, STS, CTA Executive Director of the Greater Lansing Sports Authority.
- Immediate Past Chair Janis Burke, STS, CEO of Harris County – Houston Sports Authority.
- Vice Chair Don Dukemineer, STS, CHSP, Director of Sports Development of Decatur Morgan County Tourism.
- Secretary Frank Lett, STS, Senior Associate Executive Director of Visit Kingsport.
