Course Start Line
5K
The starting line for the 5K race is at 10 Daniel St. in Gulf Breeze. (Adjacent to the Gulf Breeze High School Football Field)
15K*
The starting line for the 15K race is at Maritime Park 301 West Main Street, Pensacola, FL 32502.
Both races will take runners over the Bob Sikes Bridge to the finish line at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk parking lot.
*15K runners are required to keep a 14-minute per mile pace.
There are NO strollers, bikes, rollerblades, or dogs allowed in either race.
Parking
All participants are encouraged to park at the beach and we will bus you to the start. The main Casino Beach Parking Lot is the preferred parking lot. The overflow lot will be at Park West, the entrance of Fort Pickens, which is 2.5 miles from Casino Beach Parking Lot.
If you choose to park at the start:
15K – Park in the Maritime Stadium parking lot until it reaches capacity. Additional parking is available in nearby parking structures. There will NOT be a shuttle back to your car.
5K – Park in the Gulf Breeze High School parking lot on the west side of Highway 98 across from the High School football stadium. After parking, take the crosswalk over Highway 98 to get to the starting area. There will NOT be a shuttle back to your car

Pre-race Shuttle Schedules
Shuttle buses will run before the race ONLY.
15K buses leave Casino Beach Parking Lot on Pensacola Beach at 5:00 a.m.- 6:00 a.m. If you are staying at one of the host: the Holiday Inn Resort, Hilton Pensacola Beach or Hampton Inn, your shuttle bus will begin loading at 5:30 a.m. near the front entrance. Plan to arrive early.
5K buses leave Casino Beach Parking Lot on Pensacola Beach at 6:00 a.m.-7:30 a.m. If you are staying at one of the host: the Holiday Inn Resort, Hilton Pensacola Beach or Hampton Inn, your shuttle bus will begin loading at 7:00 am near the front entrance. Plan to arrive early.
There is a toll-by-plate fee to get onto the beach on race morning.
Buses load at Sidelines Sports Bar and Restaurant.
Buses will drop you at your appropriate starting area. Be sure you are on the correct shuttle for your race.

Course and Timing
Both the 5k and 15K races will be scored and age category prizes awarded based on NET TIME, meaning you will only be scored for when you cross the start and finish lines, not when the gun goes off. Overall awards are scored based on gun time. The 15K start will have a corral start. Please go to the corral that coincides with your minute-per-mile pace. The 15k has a 14-minute-per-mile pace requirement.
Both races will be scored using the IPICO electronic timing system. All bibs will have a disposable chip, you must wear your bib properly in order to be timed. Once you have crossed the finish line keep moving forward. No chips to remove!

The entire course will close at 9:30 a.m.

There will be 3 water stations. One near the 2-, 6-, and 8-mile markers.
The finish line for both races will be in the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk parking lot. 15K runners are required to keep a 14-minute per mile pace.

Gear Bag Check
Convenient bag check at both start areas enables you to have a change of clothes and essentials delivered to the finish line for your comfort.
You MUST use the clear bag provided to you at packet pickup to place your pre and post run clothes. We will not accept any other bags or clothing not in the clear bag provided to you.
A gear check card is provided to you inside your race bag. It is your responsibility to place it visibly in your bag when you drop it off at the Bag Drop truck. Gear bags will be transported for you from the start areas to the finish line area.
Gear must be checked by:
- 6:40am for 15K
- 8:10am for 5K.
Gear Bag check will be located at the Rowes Moving Trucks at both starts. Gear will be immediately available at the finish area UNTIL 10:00 a.m. We ask that you not put valuables in your gear bag. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. The race is not responsible for bags not picked up by 10:00 a.m.

Race Bib Information
- 4 pins, bib boards, or a race belt must be used to secure your bib to your shirt or shorts. Safety pins will be provided to you.
- Bib must be visible throughout the race and worn on the front of your body.
- Wearing your bib incorrectly may interfere with the chip reader and your race time.
- Be sure to stop by the bib name labeling station at the expo to put your name on your bib. (This is free and optional)

On-course Entertainment and Aid Stations
On the 15k course, aid stations are located at approximately the 2-, 6-, and 8-mile marks.
On the 5k course, the aid station will be located at the 2-mile mark.
There will be spring water, medical support, and portable toilets at each aid station as well as the start and finish areas. There will be DJs and bands on the course strategically placed to keep you entertained and motivated.

Race Goodies
Participants in both races receive an official race t-shirt, a 100% soft polyester unisex long-sleeve shirt (While Supplies Last!).
All 15K and 5K finishers will receive a commemorative Finisher’s Medals.
All participants will receive a link for to download race photos following the race, provided by Street Safari.

Packet Pickup/Late Registration
Expo, Packet Pickup and Late Registration (if not sold out) will be at Hilton Pensacola Beach:
Thursday, January 30
3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Friday, January 31
12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Proxy Pick-Up is available. The person picking up the packet that is not theirs will have to sign for it.
Day of race packet pick-up is not recommended but will be available for those not able to make the Thursday or Friday time.
The expo will feature vendor booths.
NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION

Race T-Shirts
Participants will receive a 100% soft polyester long-sleeve shirt. Both men’s and women’s cuts are available.
Please specify the size of shirt you would like when you submit your race application. There will be NO Shirt Exchanges at packet pickup or on Race Day. The size you choose is the size you will get. Please pay attention to your selection of either a Men's or Women's cut when selecting.
Size and/or availability of shirts are not guaranteed to late registrants.
Awards
Cash awards will be awarded to the 15K first ($750), second ($400), third place ($200), fourth ($100), and fifth ($50) finishers in both men and women categories. Cash award winners are subject to drug testing prior to the distribution of the cash award.
Overall awards for the 15K and 5K runner’s races including overall, masters, grandmasters and senior grandmasters, will be awarded at the Awards Ceremony at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk . Age group awards three deep in five year age groups starting at 13 for the 15K and 10 for the 5K will be available at the awards ceremony.
New: Age group awards for 5K walkers will be awarded including male and female overall, then three deep in 20-year age groups: 0-20, 21-40, 41-60, 61-80, 81 and over.
The awards ceremony will be located at the Sea Shell on the boardwalk. Announcements will be made if the location is changed due to weather.
Teams
Our team challenge for the Double Bridge Run will take your team's fastest individual times and total them. The team with the fastest cumulative time will be the winner. In the Co-Ed division, the team must have atleast one female and one male finisher to be scored.
Awards will be given to the top 2 teams(1st & 2nd place in the 15K Only in the Female, Male, and Co-Ed team category)
5K Teams is just for fun and WILL NOT be scored in any way. This friends and family teams category is NOT ELIGIBLE for any prizes or awards.

Benefactor
This is a Pensacola Sports event. Pensacola Sports is a private 501(c)3 non – profit organization primarily funded from revenues generated from membership, partnerships and events. Our focus is education, inspiration and participation in various team, individual, amateur and professional sports activities. Our annual programming includes free youth sports clinics aimed at introducing sports to all children as well as provide safe, fun activities for area youth, the Senior Scholar Athlete Banquet which awards over $100,000 in scholarships partnering with multiple organizations in the community, a high school all-star series for volleyball, football, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball which gives senior athletes recognition and a chance to play in front of college coaches and much more. Many Pensacola Sports events also directly engage and benefit organizations such as Arc Gateway, The Optimist Club, Police Cadet Programs and area Rotary Clubs.
In addition to our event management, Pensacola Sports is the Sport Tourism marketing agency for Escambia county investing annually in worthwhile local sports initiatives.
