Pensacola Women’s Half Marathon Race Information

Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020

There’s a lot of moving parts and race details that need to be communicated to the participant.  This page answers most of the question you may have.  If you can’t find it on this page or the other pages, send us a note and we’ll get you an answer quickly.  Thank you for your interest and running the Pensacola Women’s Half Marathon & 5K.  Be Moved!

The starting line for the Mile Dash, 5K and Half Marathon race is at Plaza Del Luna, 900 S Palafox St, Pensacola, FL 32502. The finish line for all races will be at the same location. Half Marathon time limit is 3 1/2 hours.

We will have a staggering start for each race.  More detail to come.

All participants are encouraged to arrive early to find parking in the downtown area. Parking lots available close to the start/finish are first come first served and are free on the weekend.  Please see the Downtown Parking Map for area parking locations and availability.

Both the 5k and Half Marathon races will be scored and age category prizes awarded based on NET TIME, meaning you will only be scored for when you cross the start and finish lines, not when the gun goes off.  Overall awards are scored based on gun time.  Both race will have a staggered corral start that will be assigned to you.  Corral starts will be based on your pace per mile.  You will be allowed to enter the start area 20 mins before your assigned corral start. The Half Marathon course has a 3 1/2 hour time limit requirement.

Race Chips will be attached to you bib.  You must wear your bib properly on the front of your shirt in order to be timed.

Strollers and Jogging strollers are permitted and will start at the back.  No animals allowed (exception for service dogs)

The entire course will close at 9:30 a.m.

There will be 6 water stations. One near the 1.5, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12 mile markers.  The start/finish line for both races will be in the Plaza DeLuna.

To minimize person to person contact and touch points, we will not be offering a Bag Check per our safety protocols.

If you plan to shed any clothing, please do so at the first water stop located at the 1.5 mile mark.  All clothing left at this water stop will be washed and donated to a local shelter.  Please plan accordingly for pre and post race.

We will be using the ipico timing system. All bibs will come with the disposable timing chip fastened to the back of each runners bib number.  Bibs should be safely pinned to the front of runners shirts.  Once runners finish they can proceed through the finish line chute without stopping at a volunteer for chip removal.

4 pins must be used to secure your bib to your shirt or shorts. They are provided to you.

Bib must be visible throughout the race and worn on the front of your body.

Aid stations are located at approximately the 1.5, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12 mile markers on the course. There will be individual bottled waters and portable toilets at each aid station as well as the start and finish areas. There will be DJ’s and bands on the course strategically placed to keep you entertained and motivated.
