“We are excited about working with the fine people at the Ronald McDonald House on this event,” said Pensacola Sports Executive Director Ray Palmer. “It is a great event benefiting a great cause. This partnership allows them to focus on the participant and the bells and whistles while we make sure they have a fun, safe, well managed course.”
Following the race is a free “Rock our Socks” Kid’s Fun Run presented by Peaden Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical. Ronald McDonald striped socks will be available for purchase as an additional fundraiser. Additionally, participants are encouraged to dress up in their best patriotic attire for a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded in the children, adult and family categories.
“We are very proud of our new partnership with Pensacola Sports” said Judy Burns, Executive Director for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida. “Ray and his team have gone above and beyond to focus on helping our families when they need it most and ensuring this year’s race is a success.”
